Ya me voy!!!! So the journey is starting- I have shoved way to many things into one backpack, looked at millions of apartments on Craigs list Madrid & spent hours graffiti searching on the Internet and less successfully in Auburn, Indiana. It is definetly time to get started. I leave for Chicago tommorrow, for New York on Thursday, and for Madrid on Sunday. I am still testing my relationship with "blogging" but at least a few more postings will come at a less crazy, or at least more photographable, time.

Hey Laura
Looks like you're off to a GREAT start. You might want to run spell check on your info before posting (e.g definitely)
I like your high energy writing style and think you will do a fantastic up close and personal journalistic observation of world wide graffiti - get the real scope from the locals and the artist.
Be safe and be careful and stay Laura Ann

Laura Ann:
When you begin capturing some graffit images with your trusty Canon Powershot 3, e-mail some jpgs this way and we'll store them in Picasa2, enhance as needed, and then post them to WorldWalls - you can blend the text with the photos anyway you want. You may want to start with wider orientation views of the graffiti (to see where the images are placed relative to the city, community, other activies including transporation and parks) and then move in close for detail images of the artist(s)tools and methods (brush, aerosal, and so forth). Enjoy every day.
Stay cool in Madrid,

Hey Laura
Exciting opening visuals - there really is Graffiti in Madrid!! Tell us more about how you size up the opportunity (where to go) and what people are saying about the graffiti - does it "stay up long" or do the artist find fresh walls to keep painting ?
Keep sipping the coffee,
Kent aka Laura's Dad
